Mission Statement


The Berean Christian Church exists to bring glory and honor to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by cultivating committed Christians to minister through Worship, the Word, and Witnessing, to its congregation, community, city, county, country, and other continents.
 

 

 

Vision Statement
 

The Berean Christian Church will fulfill its mission by cultivating committed Christians to minister in this six-fold manner.

Our History
     Milestones over the last ten years have included:
November 1996
  Leased our first church building at 5931 Shadow Rock Drive in Lithonia.
October 1998
  Expanded to 2 Sunday morning worship services and purchased 16 acres of land at 2201 Young Road in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
December 2000
  Purchased our first church building at 2440 Young Road in Stone Mountain (down the street from our land purchase).
February 2001
  Expanded to 3 Sunday morning worship services.
April 2001 
  Purchased house and property adjacent to our church building at 2440 Young Road.
April 2002
  Held Groundbreaking Ceremony on our land at 2201 Young Road.
May 2002
  Expanded to 4 weekend worship services (added Saturday night service).
October 2002
  Secured 5 million dollar church bond to begin building our new worship and educational facility at 2201 Young Road.
January 2002
  Began construction of worship and educational facility.
April 2004
  Held first worship service in our 45,000 square foot worship and educational facility.
November 2004
  Purchased additional acreage adjacent to new worship facility where the Berean Family Life Center will be built.
January 2005
  Renamed previous worship facility at 2440 Young Road, the Berean Community Center.
April 2005
  Purchased house adjacent to worship facility
May 2005
  Expanded to 3 Sunday Morning Worship Services at new facility
December 2005
  Broke ground on Family Life Center
March 2006
  Begin Bible Study in Gwinnett County
May 2006
  Begin Saturday night church service in Gwinnett County
July 2006
  Began work on the Family Life Center.
November 2006
  Held first national Pastors and Leaders Conference
July 2007
  Held open house for the Kerwin B. Lee Family Life Center
August 2007
  Opened the Berean Christian Academy,
Purchased two homes and property adjacent to the church building located at 2201 Young Road
April 2008
  Completed campus master plan for future growth
June 2008
  Held 25 years in ministry celebration for Pastor Kerwin B. Lee!
October 2008
  Demolished properties to provide much needed additional parking
November 2008
  Purchased the church in Gwinnett County
